A Little Competition Experience

I spend a lot of time at grappling tournaments, but I’m hardly ever there to compete.  Last weekend at the Pendergrass in Wake Forest, NC I decided to spend a little time on the mats.  It was a strange decision for me because I hardly ever train no gi, and my time in the sport puts me in the Advanced skill level. I was the smallest of the 4 guys in the “and Up” division, and probably the least experienced.  It showed.

I got subbed twice (crucifix, kimura), but I was glad to get a little competition experience.

Grappling sometimes, but mostly just trying to get others to grapple.
