Here are a few notes I took on attacking from the back while watching Jeff Monson and Dennis Hallman in The Jiu Jitsu Cookbook.
- Always stay Chest-to-Back
- Never overhook both arms (if you are being attacked from the back you want your opponent to have double overhooks so you can slide down and escape.)
- Get at least one underhook (arm)
- Get at least one hook in (leg)
- Control a wrist
