Notes on attacking from the Back

Here are a few notes I took on attacking from the back while watching Jeff Monson and Dennis Hallman in The Jiu Jitsu Cookbook.

  • Always stay Chest-to-Back
  • Never overhook both arms (if you are being attacked from the back you want your opponent to have double overhooks so you can slide down and escape.)
  • Get at least one underhook (arm)
  • Get at least one hook in (leg)
  • Control a wrist
