Twitter Stuff

Here’s a some cool stuff I found on Twitter recently:

100 Best Science Twitterers
This list makes me want to create a separate Twitter account just to follow these people. I want to read a lot of this stuff, but I don’t want tweets from my friends to get lost in the sauce.  This is one area where TweetDeck comes in handy.  I found this list when Phil Plait @BadAstronomer) retweeted it.  It just so happens that he’s on the list.

Speaking of TweetDeck, it now supports posting your status to Facebook as well as Twitter.  Check it out if you haven’t seen it recently.

Summer Science Reading List
This started when @scifri put out a call for geek beach books. It’s mostly non-fiction and includes a number of titles I’m definitely going to read.

What The Trend
This is a pretty neat idea.  It tracks the trends popping up on Twitter and allows you to see why those words are trending.  If you know why something is trending you can explain it so everyone else can see.  No account needed.
